Blogging 101

Blogging 101 – Saturday

Good morning/evening everyone,

Hope your weekend is off to a good start.  Although we don’t have a weekend assignment, it’s a good time to practice on anything that slowed you down during the first week.

I’ll be taking a look at several more themes, working on my current novel in progress, and reading your blogs. One of my regular reviewers of my novel suggested a plot for a new book.  I thought it was a great idea and will also spend some time laying out a brief outline.

Our day has started out mild with a hint of sunshine:

Unfortunately, the forecast is rain, turning to snow this evening, with 1-3 inches expected.  Just as long as we don’t end up with this (from last winter):

The photo is in perfect focus.  What makes it fuzzy looking is the driving snow!

Have a great day!

  1. Greetings to you friend. I’ve read two of your posts here and you may like to know what I see as your forte. It’s language. You write beautifully and I believe this style is what will attract many readers to your site.

    1. Thank you very much. It’s greatly appreciated. If you would like to read more about one of my novels, check out the blog post Morsels from the Kurdish Connection, found down the right hand side of my blog. Each day I’m posting a few snippets from each chapter. Today chapter 4 will be added. Thanks again!

      1. Thank you! If you have any ideas you’d like to put forward for a novel, please let me know. You’ve seen what I’ve written about A Cartel’s Revenge–the person only gave me three sentences. Not sure I can do this everything time and they will always need for working, but I’ll give it a go. Regards, Randy

      2. This is the initial opening for A Cartel’s Revenge (at least right now. Will probably be modified several times as I go along):

Birds twittered as dawn broke. As the sun made its way across the deep blue sky, songbirds joined in, their harmonious voices adding to the morning’s chorus. Pablo yawned, stretched, and crawled out of bed. Slipping on a purple robe and matching slippers, he lumbered toward the closed balcony doors.

  2. Good morning! Sunshine is gone now as the clouds have moved in. Hope we don’t lean toward the second one; we had enough of that over the past two winters!

  3. It’s pretty much a good idea to use today to work on themes or review other areas. Love this post and the talk about the weather reminds me that it’s scary to go outside now. It’s been snowing here and very cold. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

    1. We started out with 40F so warm considering we were at 24F at the beginning of the week. I’ll post some more photos over the weekend showing more of the wildlife and try to use some nice sunsets to warm us up:)
